I posted a teaser on Facebook this morning saying I was writing a 2,500+ word email about libertarians. I called them losers... admittedly, I did this, in part, to get their attention. But there's truth to it too...
Also, I accidentally lied about the 2,500-word thing... It's now a 5,000-word behemoth and growing... what started as a daily email might be becoming Chapter 1 of my book.
First, I want to say that I love libertarians. I've considered myself one for the better part of my adult life, and in many ways I still am one in my heart. I've read the canon. Mises, Hayek, Rothbard, Bastiat, Hoppe, and plenty from the non-Austrian schools of thought as well. The libertarians, particularly the Austrian Economics wing of libertarians... ARE my people. That's exactly why I'm writing this... you don't write 5,000 words for people you don't care about.
