I woke up at about 8 a.m. this morning and went for a walk with my dog in a sunny field. It was beautiful. I turned on a podcast. The Tom Woods Show. You may remember me going after Tom in my Thomas Massie piece.
Well, I'm still a listener. I keep my eye on Tom. He still does a lot of good work, despite some of my frustrations with him.
He had a guy named Keith Knight on the show to discuss his recent video on Democratic Socialism. Keith made a monster 4-hour-long video taking apart every single argument the Democratic Socialists make, with precision.
It's excellent; I skimmed through it... I can tell he spent a lot of time on it. The interview with Tom Woods is excellent too.
You know what else it was? A waste of time. Infotainment for libertarians and nothing else.
Why do I say this? Well, if you've read me for a while now, you should already have a sense of it. The libertarian thinks he's in a debate, when he's really in a fight. The libertarian spends his life making 4-hour rebuttals to people who never intended to listen. Keith and Tom even address this in the interview, right at the beginning. No one who needs to listen to it will...
