I've suffered with migraines for as long as I can remember. I think they may have started in my teens. Roughly once a month or so I get a real doozy. It's like torture, I don't know how to describe it in words. On these days, I am essentially incapacitated. I can't think, I can't work, I can't watch tv, I can't read, I feel nauseous, I can't sleep... I just have to be there, suffering... 'til it's over. It's hell.
It sometimes happens at the worst times too. At critical events in my life, it likes to show up and wreak havoc.
But then maybe a month ago, after another brutal migraine, I decided to go to ChatGPT. I started describing my symptoms as clearly and with as much detail as I could. I started learning about the differences between cluster headaches and migraine headaches, and a potential solution called Triptans. Got a prescription from my doc as fast as I could.
Then a few nights ago, I felt one coming on... that familiar dread creeping in for a night of pain and suffering. I popped one of those bad boys down my throat... and you know what? It worked! I could not believe it.
