the massie piece is hitting

I created a firestorm in the comments on facebook

·2 min read

It's been quite a day!

I have to admit to you, I am exhausted. I woke up early today, expecting to work and get things done... I could barely keep my eyes open by noon and drifted back to sleep. Writing the Massie piece truly took a lot out of me. I am exhausted.

While I am still working, still getting things done, I am also taking care to get my sleep and health back in order. The stress of writing a piece that personal is no joke. I honestly had no idea that writing could be this stressful.

So far, the reaction to it has been very good. A lot of positive feedback and also a lot of great pushback from libertarians. I love that they are engaging with it. Many are, of course, dismissing it without reading it, but those aren't the ones I'm after.

I've been promoting the article a bit on my Thomas Sowell Quotes page, and that's where it's generated the most controversy. A lot of good-faith libertarians and Massie supporters have called me out there, and I've been taking the time to respond to some of them. You can read through the comments if you're curious how that's going.

I've also been working on my website a little bit. Developing new features for members, with plenty more coming. The community is really starting to turn into something special. I've started organizing regular Sunday night hangouts in the lounge. Right now it's just a chat room where we talk, but I'm going to be adding features to make it more fun and interesting as time goes on.

The one thing that's becoming clear to me is that the real value being built here is in you. I'm just the one organizing it all, but you are the one who makes this project valuable. And in the membership, that's where it becomes clear. There are so many great people in there starting interesting conversations and giving me outstanding feedback on my work before I make it public.

Every single member makes this project more valuable and gives it more potential. That's why I want you in there. You make me better.

You also make me better by just being here, on this list. This is where all of the work lives. It will always be free. But if you want to connect to me and the community on a deeper level... join us in there.

We are going to build something powerful together

stay close,

~ Clay

P.S. keep sharing The Thomas Massie Problem. Get it in front of the libertarians you know. Force them to reckon with this. It is working.

P.P.S. and if you'd rather just throw a tip in the jar, that's always appreciated too.... Tip me
