well... I'm not the only one anymore

a few of you have read it

It's been 7 or 8 gruelling days of non-stop writing for me... You already know that... I've been telling you about it constantly. You're probably getting sick of seeing me write about writing... I get it.

But it's finally happening. There are now maybe a dozen or two members who have read the full piece so far, excluding the last Act, which I am still working on. When I first sent it out, I was a little nervous, but I was confident. I felt good about what I had here.

The feedback I'm getting so far confirms it. I didn't waste my time! What a relief.

The first reader... one of my founding members, wrote me something that I didn't know I needed to hear. She said reading my work doesn't feel like reading an article. It feels like a conversation. Sometimes she comments out loud when I ask a question... as if I'm really there asking it.

That's exactly how I want you guys to feel. This is a conversation. I talk to you like you're a friend who's in the room with me, because that's how I feel about you. You've allowed me into your inbox. That's a sacred thing and I take it seriously. Many of you open every single email I send. That's something I can't even get my actual real-life friends to do. It's a huge privilege to have your attention, I really mean that.

Another reader wrote in. This one is GenZ, currently inside the libertarian world, listens to the podcasts I name in the article every day. He thanked me for "not using the knives too soon." Said he's "looking forward to the take down." He's responding to the grace that I showed in the 5th act.

I'm doing something a little different here. I'm going with grace BEFORE the takedown, not after. That's part of why I'm struggling so hard with the last act. I'm not used to doing it in this order.

Anyways, I look forward to getting more feedback from those of you inside the members area before I make it public. If you want inside, stopbeingprey.com/membership
